The problem with pleasure is that it doesn't last.
We arrange our lives to reach it,
And even when we are successful, the pleasure lasts but a moment and then is gone.
Leaving us wanting more,
Leaving us hungry,
Leaving us frustrated.
In this way we spend our entire lives chasing momentary pleasure,
that doesn’t fulfill and doesn’t last.
Pleasure promises to last forever,
but it’s a lie.
How long will you chase the lie?
But, you think, what else is there?
The Yogis say that the Center of Consciousness,
The source all love, all joy, of life itself, is within us.
Find that Center, and everlasting bliss may be yours.
