Sometimes, I get demanding and want life to proceed in a straight way, like a line from point A to point B. But that’s not the way things are.
Although life may go straight for a while, sooner or later twists and turns show up. Roads twist and turn as they run across varying terrain. If not for winding, a road wouldn’t be able to get around the imposing mountain or skirt a deep gorge. Rather than taking me in the wrong direction, these curves are necessary to reach the desired destination.
So, if I look at apparent diversions in my life as I’d view curves in a road — they are necessary to reach my goal — the way will be easier.
