Intuition is the direct knowing, from the inside-out. Not based on thinking or learning, it is simply knowing. But intuition is often obscured by the chatter of our mind and agitation of the heart.
The heart and mind are intimately connected.
When the mind is filled with worry, chatter, desire, the heart becomes agitated. When the heart is filled with fear, anger and other strong emotions, the mind activates, thinks, analyzes. It’s a two-way street.
When the mind is silent and the heart calm, intuition dawns.
So, to access intuition, calm the mind and heart.
Yoga provides means to do so.
