The Niyamas

Sauca (Purity)

Santosa (Contentment)

Tapas (Discipline)

Svadhyaya (Self-study)

Ishvara Pranidhana (Self-surrender)

Although often overlooked in current day asana classes, practice of the five Niyamas (the second limb of Raja Yoga) is essential for those who wish to advance on the path of yoga-meditation. In this workshop, through explanation, guided practices, stories, and introspection, we'll look at the meanings of each of the niyamas, with special attention paid to their practical practice in everyday life for greater joy and inner freedom.

Come and learn this most important part of yoga.
